Founded in the 1950’s, by NATO French Mission officers, Alexandre Dumas school in Naples has been a French school officially recognized since 1972. Today, directly managed by AEFE (Agency for French Teaching Abroad) Alexandre Dumas school is administrated by Lycée Chateaubriand in Rome.

It is located inside the Palais Grenoble, famous for the Napolitan citizens, together with the Consulate General of France, the French Cultural Insitute, the André Malraux multimedia library, the Archaeological Center Jean Bérard and the French bookshop. The Alexandre Dumas French school contributes to spreading the French Culture and allows its students to attend the programs of the French National Education Ministry from Nursery grades to the class of 4ème (Collège) and 3ème (CNED).
