French pupils living abroad may get a scholastic financial help, namely grants from the AEFE (French Agency for Teaching French Abroad).
A local grant commission gathers up all the data provided by the families in order to process the files nationally. For the Rome Area, the local commission will meet next week in Rome at the French Consulate.
As a branch of the Consulate services (French Consulate in Rome), the local grant commission is competent in dealing with all the problems connected to local grant management. It examines the grant request files by French expatriates and makes suggestions to the Agency that takes a final decision on the grants after a national commission agreement.
The local commission meets twice a year in plenary session: once in spring for grant application renewed once in autumn for the new arrivals or adjourned or postponed files for the first local commission.
In case of a high level of applications, pre-commissions may be set to ease up the work of the grant local commission.
The school grant services of the French Consulate in Rome informs the families of the launching of the next school aid campaign. To that end, you will find enclosed:
The 2016-2016 school grant request form;
The list of written proofs;
The AEFE information booklet.
The absolute deadline for the files to be sent in is set on March the 6th 2015
For the first request, an individual meeting with the school grant service of the consulate is mandatory. The parents are kindly asked to take an appointment through the following link: prise de rendez-vous.
